Nordin Bensallah and Janne Mustonen. Janne got his chance to win the professional European Muay Thai title in 1994. His opponent was the hard-punching Nordin Bensallah. In the third round Janne ran into Nordin's knee and felt great pain. Nordin saw pain in Janne's face and punched into his ribs. Janne couldn't continue. After the fight  the doctor noticed that one muscle in between ribs had torn pretty badly.

Later Nordin switched into professional boxing and became the WBO world champion. It's not good to hear, however, that his title was stripped away because of illicit substance use.
