SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2012 ADD COMMENTThe lobby at the Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya is buzzing as team after team begins to arrive: Kazakhstan, Turkey, the UK, Luxembourg, Singapore, France, Cameroon, Thailand, South Africa, Argentina…these are just a few of the countries spottted yesterday evening.
Some teams have even made a headstart: the Australians were amongst the real early birds, not to mention some Canadians, Afghanistan, and of course, the Russians. Early teams are already getting their training in at the hotel’s gym facilities on the ground floor, behind the lobby. The IFMA team arrived in the early hours of Monday morning this week and got straight to work.
The Russian Muaythai Federation has done a brilliant job in setting up facilities, weigh-in room, offices, etc. The Russian Organizing Committee has a fully equipped office beside the left of the main lobby, where they are handling registration and accreditation.
Some bonuses at the hotel? Waterville Aquapark (the largest one in the whole of Saint Petersburg) and views of the majestic blue of the Gulf of Finland.
