Muaythai 2008 olympialaiset

Tuossa Combat academy of finlandin sivuilla surffatessa huomasin että muaythaita oltaisiin tyrkyttämässä 2008 olympialaisiin näytöslajiksi. Eli onko kellään tietoa miten tuo projekti on edistynyt???

kuulin tosta itekkin aiemmin ja tutkin aika montaa 2008 sivustoa ja yhdeltäkään ei löytynytt edes mainintaa koko asiasta.

A memorable date as muaythai, under the umbrella of IFMA (International Federation of MuayThai Amateur), has been accepted into the GAISF (General Association of International Sports Federation) by an overwhelming majority vote of International Sports Federations.

Muaythai under the umbrella of IFMA is now a member of the Olympic family. Membership within GAISF represents international acceptance of IFMA as the indisputable peak body for muaythai in the world. Congratulations to the IFMA executive board present at the General Assembly which was composed of many Olympic and non-Olympic sports.

A total of 72 GAISF members at the meeting voted in favour of muay Thai becoming a full member of the association, thereby enhancing the sport’s reputation around the world and opening up the possibility of it being included in future Olympics.

No mitäs veikkaatte?? Voiskohan olla lajina jo seuraavissa olympialaisissa? Tuskin mutta mistäs sitä tietää. Ainakin askel lähempänä.
